Hellenic Capital Market Commission
Xenofon has held a number of positions at the Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC), where he’s played a crucial role in the development of Greece’s capital markets. In 2009, he became the first Vice President of the HCMC to be appointed directly from its management board to this position. In his current position, Xenofon supervises the functions of the Financial Department as well as those of Listed Companies and Research. In addition to increasing the profile and credibility of the Greek Market, he is working, at the European level, on the regulation and the supervision of capital markets. He also serves on the board of directors of Greece’s Accounting and Auditing Standards Oversight Board, the Standing Committee of the European Securities and Markets Authority regarding accounting issues and the Executive Committee of the Institute of Financial Economic Management. He is also an active member of the Mediterranean Partnership of the Securities’ Regulators.
