Frank N. Rusa is the Country Representative of the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (NIMD), a Hague-based international NGO that works to promote dialogue among and between political actors for consensus building on matters of national development and peaceful co-existence. NIMD also works to strengthen the capacities of political parties to deliver on their respective legal and political mandates. Frank serves as the Executive Secretary of the inter-party Organisation for Dialogue (IPOD), a forum that brings together political party leaders of all the parties represented in the Parliament of Uganda. Tania Bruguera is a political performance artist who explores the relationship between art, activism, social change, and political and economic power. Born and raised in Havana, several of her exhibitions have interrogated and “re-presented” events in Cuban history. Tania explores both the promise and failings of the Cuban Revolution through performances that provoke viewers to consider political realities masked by government propaganda and mass-media interpretation.
