Josh Rubin is a student at Yale Law School, where he is co-president of the National Security Group and a member of the Rule of Law Clinic. Before law school, Josh served as a special assistant in the Office of Secretary of State John Kerry. A recipient of the State Department Superior Honor Award, Josh staffed the Secretary of State on travel to over 25 countries, including during negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program, the Paris climate agreement, and the war in Syria. Previously, Josh served as a speechwriter for the Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs, and during college, was an intern for Secretary Kerry’s speechwriting team. In May 2014, Josh received his undergraduate degree from Yale, where he graduated magna cum laude, with distinction in the Global Affairs major. Josh is originally from Syosset, New York.
