Student Liaisons

The World Fellow Student Liaison Program offers Yale undergraduate and graduate/professional school students direct access to some of the most interesting people on campus: the Yale Greenberg World Fellows.

In the fall term, each World Fellow is partnered with a small group of Liaisons (a mix of Yale undergraduate and graduate students). Liaisons assist Fellows in event planning and campus integration while benefitting from the mentorship each Fellow provides. Through these activities, liaisons build lasting relationships with their World Fellow.

How To Apply

The deadline for the Fall 2019 Student Liaison Program was April 22, 2019. The application for the Fall 2020 Student Liaison Program will open in mid-April 2020.

Expectations of Liaisons

  • Assist your Fellow in organizing campus talks, including marketing and publicizing these events to bring together students interested in the topic of discussion
  • Promote World Fellows Night
  • Develop opportunities for World Fellows to engage with students across campus

The World Fellows Liaison program is open to all Yale College and Yale Graduate and Professional School students who have completed at least one year of study at Yale prior to the fall semester. Incoming students starting at Yale in the fall semester and non-Yale students are ineligible.

Instagram Challenge | Fall 2019

Attention World Fellows student liaisons: we have launched the World Fellows Instagram Challenge to see whose post highlighting the work of your assigned Fellow can attract the most likes and comments. Entries can be a single image or a collection of images with a descriptive caption that best showcase the impact that your Fellow is having on Yale or the world at large.

The contest runs from October 1 – December 1, 2019. Each student liaison can submit up to 10 entries. We will share select entries on the World Fellows Instagram account throughout the semester. One winner will be recognized at the World Fellows Closing Ceremony on December 10.
