It takes time for me to realize how deeply we are all interconnected in this world community. The ripples of the World Fellows Program are reflected in every second of my life. The four months in New Haven is a self-searching and self-completed journey at the same time.

DU Yang is the co-founder of China Philanthropist Magazine and CiMedia Group, a pioneering joint venture and an influential media source for the philanthropy industry in China. His work focuses on building partnerships and networks with global philanthropists and China’s growing philanthropy sector.

As a culture “ambassador” in the philanthropy industry, he has been involved in the process of launching a platform of China’s top philanthropists and an east-west cultural program. DU is also on the advisory board of Mediadesign Hochschule - MD.H Berlin.

The 2017 World Fellows

A Liberian doctor, a Mongolian human rights lawyer, an Argentinean social entrepreneur and 13 other innovative and courageous leaders have been named 2017 World Fellows. This cohort brings the total number of World Fellows since the program’s start in 2002 to 309 Fellows, representing 87 countries.
