Co-Founder and General Partner
IMPAQTO Capital

Michelle Arevalo-Carpenter is an impact investment leader and ecosystem builder working at the intersection of capital, climate, and community in Latin America. She is the Co-Founder and General Partner at IMPAQTO Capital, a locally rooted fund manager deploying catalytic capital across the Andean region. Currently, she is leading the design of a new impact investment fund focused on the Andean Amazon.

Michelle serves as Strategic Ambassador for Andean Amazon Initiatives at the Amazon Investor Coalition, is a member of the Private Sector Task Force for IDB Invest’s Amazonia Forever program, and advises Jumpscale on resilience circles and Indigenous-led entrepreneurship in the Amazon. Previously, Michelle was Executive Director of Strategy at SOCAP Global, where she shaped content and global dialogue around impact investing, and consulted with the Skoll Foundation to curate the Skoll World Forum. She is also co-founder and former CEO of IMPAQTO, a pioneering B Corporation that supported thousands of entrepreneurs through coworking, acceleration, and ecosystem-building across Latin America.

Michelle holds an MSc in International Human Rights Law from the University of Oxford and a Master’s in Public Policy from UC Berkeley. She finds her home in Quito with her husband Matt and their twin boys, Jude and Elias—drawn to the Andes as both a grounding place and source of inspiration for the work ahead.
