
Vincent Ni is currently the China Affairs correspondent for The Guardian, covering the world’s most populous nation and its evolving place in the world. Before joining the Guardian in 2021, Vincent was a Senior Journalist at the BBC, where he launched BBC Asia Brief, an internal forum that broadens conversations about East and Southeast Asia and their relationship with the rest of the world for BBC editors and journalists.
Prior to the BBC, Vincent was a correspondent for Caixin Media, tracking China’s global footprint in the Middle East, Europe, and North America. In 2019, he created and edited Asia Matters Podcast, which hosts in-depth discussions about the biggest issues affecting the world’s most dynamic region. The podcast has now been acquired by the Brussels School of Governance under the new title: CSDS-Asia Matters Podcast.
